Hook FC Launches Inclusive Comets Programme for Disabled Children
Hook FC is taking steps to make football more accessible by introducing the FA's Comets Programme this season – a pan-disability football scheme for children aged 5-11.
A Space for Every Child
Comets creates a safe environment where disabled children can play football, belong to a club, and simply be themselves. The programme embraces a simple philosophy: just be you.
What is Comets?
This recreational programme welcomes boys and girls with a broad range of impairments and health conditions to play together. It's all about playfulness, friendships, and fun – breaking traditional rules to help disabled children build confidence, independence, and social connections.
The Sessions
Hook FC's qualified coaches will deliver sessions at Hook Junior School's hall on Sundays. All coaches receive specialist training to provide a safe space for children to try football and develop key skills.
